POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT

AIM

To train Medical & Non-Medical Graduates in the specialty of the Hospital Administration to meet the growing demand of Hospital Administrators

DURATION

A one year course of two semesters. Ist Semester from July to November and IInd Semester from December to May.

ELIGIBILITY

The Eligibility rules for the above Post Graduate Course shall be as under:

Any Bachelor’s Degree – B.Sc ,B.Com, B.A, BCA, MBBS, BHMS, BAMS, BDS, B.Pth , B.Pharm
General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) – 3 ½ Years course with one year experience.
D. Pharma & Any Diploma awarded by the Board of Technical Education of any Govt.
10 + 3 years Diploma with 2 years work experience .
12 + 2 years Diploma with one year work experience .

Maximum of 60 seats.

PRACTICAL TRAINING

Description

1) JOURNAL WRITING

Based on practical training imparted in each department of the hospital.

2) PROJECT REPORTS

Students are expected to complete their project work in hospitals, on selected topics, under the guidance of their Guide.

3) HOSPITAL VISITS

The management arranges visit for our students to hospitals of repute in Pune & outside Pune.

4) SEMINARS

Students organize conference HOSPICON, in Pune under the guidance of the management. They are encouraged to attend & to participate in scientific paper & Poster presentations at various conferences of TISS, Mumbai; ASCI, Hyderabad; D.Y. Patil, Thane; held in India.

EXAMINATION SYSTEM

All rules, regulation, statutes, ordinances and Instructions from the examination department of the University of Pune will be followed as applicable.

INTERNSHIP

On successful completion of semester I & II, students undergo non stipendiary Internship of 65 days in hospital not less than 50 beds. Diploma certificate will be awarded only after the submission of the certificate of INTERNSHIP completion by the student to the college office.

PLACEMENTS

Campus Interviews are arranged to facilitate various companies to meet passing out candidates in our premises where, interviews are held and candidates are short listed for further job related placements.
