About SICOP:

What we recognize today as SICOP started off as a very small Diploma Program of a mere 20 students at SIOR (Sancheti Institute of Rehabilitation)! Thanks to the vision of Senior Dr. Sancheti and dedication of a very committed and enthusiastic set of Physiotherapy teachers including Dr. Sabnis, Dr. Vasanti Joshi, Dr. Razia Nagarwala and Dr. Vivek Kulkarni for catapulting this Program to Excellence – their perseverance for more than 25 years has definitely paid off! Even when we were a small batch, these teachers made sure that we were given exposure to the best medical faculty from around Pune (including from BJMC, Jehangir, etc), they encouraged our interaction with medical faculty/residents, and strived hard to provide us access to hospital resources in Sacheti hospital. We remain grateful for a very supportive faculty that they were. Each and every student in our batch too was equally phenomenal – today they are all most successful in their own field, well established, and exemplary of the idea that a small batch of mere 20 students make no difference! And that higher education is important but so is one’s outlook/determination/and enthusiasm for life, which together made our experience in SICOP very rich! Wishing all SICOP students – past and present – the very best!
